AP Exams
The AP Exam Ordering Form is only for students who are not full-time St. Johns Virtual Students. This includes students who are brick-and-mortar district students not testing at the school they attend, students taking an AP course through FLVS, St. Johns Compass students (receiving a state scholarship like PEP or UA), self-study or Home Education students taking an AP course with St. Johns Virtual. This form closes November 10th.
Please contact AP/SJV Coordinator Dr. Page with any questions.
Students taking AP exams are required to pay $99 per exam. Payment must be submitted separately for each AP exam.
Example: If a student is taking 3 AP exams, they will need to pay $99 for each exam, for a total of $297. Please ensure payment is submitted for each AP exam the student plans to take.
Students are responsible for a $40 cancellation fee per AP exam that they register for but do not take.
Example: If a student registers for 2 AP exams and does not take either exam, a total cancellation fee of $80 will apply.

Important Information
Full-time SJV students are required to participate in all district and state assessments. SJV adheres to the same state guidelines and course requirements as traditional public schools. Information provided is strictly for full-time SJV students and their families. If you are not a full-time SJV student, please contact your current school of enrollment for further information on State Testing.
Testing begins at 9:30AM and students should arrive by 9:15AM.
Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) is set up as a progress monitoring model. FAST assessments are computer-adaptive tests taken on a computer. The questions get easier or more difficult depending on how the student responds, and each student will see different questions from a common item bank. Each progress monitoring test attempt (PM1, PM2, and PM3) will present items that will cover the entire test “blueprint,” meaning students will encounter items representative of the standards within the subject or grade level. Students in Algebra or Geometry do not take the FAST Math assessment.
All testing sessions are mandatory for full-time SJV students. Please note that the incorporation of the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (F.A.S.T.), testing will require three testing windows throughout the year (PM1, PM2 and PM3). Each session will take place in person, unless any updates come from SJVS.
- First session (PM1) will be within the first 30 days of school.
- Second session (PM2) will be conducted during the winter.
- Third session (PM3) will occur during the Spring each year.
All three sessions are for students in grades KG-10. If a student wishes to remain in the full-time virtual program with SJV, they must be present for all testing windows. If a student does not take any of the required tests, they will no longer be able to continue in the SJV full-time program.
SJV will also monitor state testing scores and work to ensure that SJV is the proper placement for your child. If a student scores a level 1 on any of their state assessments, SJVS will work to remediate and assist in growth. If after two consecutive years of receiving a score of 1 on state assessments, SJV will highly recommend a return to a brick and mortar setting to ensure that additional services can be provided. Our goal is to ensure that students in our county are placed in the learning environment that best suits their needs.
